What this is
The exact same Python that ships in the bmech Blender extension runs unmodified in your browser via Pyodide, not a separate reimplementation. Nothing about the shape or your chosen dimensions is uploaded anywhere — the mesh is built and the STL is written entirely on your machine.
- Wheel and Pawl are single-part generators — dial in one piece at a time. Mechanism builds a matched pair, auto-positioning the pawl's pivot so its tip actually lands on a real tooth drive face (a tangent-biased heuristic, not a rigorous statics solve — swing it by hand once printed to confirm it locks the way you expect).
- Internal Freewheel is the bicycle-hub style: an outer ring with inward-pointing teeth, an inner hub, and however many pawls you ask for, evenly spaced. CW rotation of the hub locks; CCW freewheels.
- Mechanism and Internal Freewheel each merge their multiple parts (wheel+pawl, or ring+hub+pawls) into ONE downloadable STL, positioned the same way the Blender operator lays them out.
- This is free during testing. If it turns into a paid product later, existing free downloads aren't retroactively affected.
